Content Strategy

Satellite

The Challenge

Satellite is an early-stage startup on a mission to help people share what matters most to those who matter to them. The product is a social storytelling tool wherein friends join groups and submit stories recapping their week. The stories are compiled into a weekly newsletter and conveniently delivered to their inboxes.

I was brought on board to develop a content strategy for the blog and write weekly posts. The business goals were to develop brand awareness and increase beta sign-ups.

  • Defined the blog’s purpose:

    • Educate our target audience on what Satellite is and how it will benefit their lives

    • Give them ways to invest more in their relationships because Satellite’s mission is to help people deepen connections

    • Inspire them to tell their story since Satellite is a storytelling tool

    • Encourage them to reexamine their social media habits because Satellite is a healthier way to stay in touch

  • Collaborated with a small team to define the brand identity and brand voice for the organization

  • Conducted keyword research and met with the leadership team to define a measurement plan to track key metrics

  • Brainstormed content ideas, scheduled out a content calendar, and started writing taking into account the needs and interests of the target audience
